Amazing Creations
Woah!!! There is some amazing work going on at home - Hannah and I are so impressed and loved seeing all of the amazing creations you have been working on at home and it is great to see all of our rose and willow class faces! We miss you all so much. You are all going to be such great bakers, builders, artists and creators! Those cakes look so yum, the lego is so impressively built, your handwriting is getting even better than it was when we left and even then it was great, and those drawings and paintings you're doing would be up on our walls if we could put them up! So impressed guys and thank you to all parents who submitted photos to us. Remember you can submit photos to us at any time ([email protected] and [email protected]) and we will put them up here to show our school community the great work you're doing at home. Working at home We really appreciate all of your efforts and can only try and understand how difficult it may be at times. Keep up the good work and remember you know your day and home life better than us - do what works for you as a family and what fits your daily routine. If it suits you better to do school work on weekends when you're more free - that is absolutely fine. If you can't get school work done every day - try every second day. The work we shared was to keep you going up until the 30th of March and if it lasts longer than that do not worry or stress over it. If you are finding it difficult to fill the day with non screen activities or non academic work here is a great website with lots of different activities you can do at home as a family - there are also activities for the younger and older ones so have a look at them all and hopefully it will be of some help to you all. http://www.helpmykidlearn.ie/activities/5-7 Learning after the 29th The school staff are meeting today to discuss teaching and learning across the school after the 29th March - when we are clear as to the direction we will be taking we will let you know as soon as we do. A day at a time, taking baby steps is our aim. We are not going to be able to change everything over night, but hopefully with gradual, sustainable change we will be able to continue to give a meaningful education to all the children in our care. Thank you Parents We hope that you are all doing well at home and again want to express our huge gratitude to you all as parents and family members. You are doing a great job and your efforts to keep our children learning as best possible are hugely appreciated. If there is anything you are unsure on don't hesitate to email us and we will do our best effort to help and support you at home.
